For the next year I'm going to attempt to drink a ridiculous amount of Bloody Marys at various Chicagoland bars & restaurants in search of the best one. I'll be giving my opinions on various categories, describe my experiences, and give a final rating on

a 5 olive scale,

So, feel free to check back daily to see how things go, and hopefully my quest to find chicagoland's best damn Bloody Mary is a success!

PPS: I know, I know, having a blog called Chicagoland Bloody Mary without actually having a review of one from Chicago yet is blasphemous - but rest assured, I'm slowly working my way there...

This blog & it's reviews are made for my own enjoyment. I hope to provide others a glimpse at what various bloody marys taste at different establishments on any particular day. Being taste is subjective to each individual, take my ramblings with a grain of salt. (preferably celery salt around the rim of a glass) My taste buds are my own - take them at your own risk.

Also keep in mind that there is an art to making a good bloody mary, and that each individual bartender usually puts their own spin on each one. The bloody marys in the bars & restaurants that I review can easily vary from day to day, and especially from bartender to bartender. There are times where I've visited an establishment one day and drank something fantastic, and then drink one from the same place on a later date (or even later in the evening) and get highly varying results.
